An interview with Jean-Marc Guerrero

1/ Jean-Marc Guerrero what is your position in the company ?

As the Administrative and Financial Manager I supervise, organise and co-ordinate all the Groupe Frayssinet departments so as to make it possible for the management to orientate its financial policy. My leitmotive: designing strategies for the company and making the decisions that suit its financial situation. So, I have quite a widespread sphere of activity. It ranges from the administrative and financial department (accounts, taxation, staff managing, to general departments (fiscal and property assets, administrative data-processing.

 

2/ How is your department organised ?

We make up an eight people team. We are in charge of the administrative sales of the different structures, transport logistics, sales data management and accounts. There is only one vacant position for the coming year : management controller. What we need more and more is to collect and analyse data based on our ERP system.

 

3/ Can you be more precise about your daily activity ?

Every day I supervise the accounts, tax and accounts return and cash flow management. I implement control and report tools in order to secure the reliability of our financial data.
The accounting and financial follow-up is made of controls and observations that enable us to produce syntheses : balance sheets, provisional budget … Besides, I remain closely connected with banks and the administration in order to handle things safely. The management of human resources which includes the legal and social aspects of the staff management as well as the implementation of an efficient professional training policy take up a large part of my working day.

 

4/ Phalippou-Frayssinet has been ISO approved for three years. What has the ISO certification changed and what processes are you in charge of ?

The implementation today of a management system through quality has become a determining strategic tool for the development and perennation of companies. It has allowed us to better control all the processes yielding quality in order to meet our customers demands. This became reality thanks to everyone’s impressive involvement. I am the pilot of two processes. ADV (sales administration) managing the logistics aspects of the business to customer relation; order taking, delivery follow-up, invoicing. Professional training (human resources), a process which manages the staff’s skill requirements for performing their tasks and sees to their vocational training needs.

 

5/ How do you see Phalippou Frayssinet in ten years from now ?

I’d say still the leader on the national market of agriculture and green spaces as far as our activity of fertilizer manufacturers is concerned. But also with a greater share of the export market, especially in the Maghrib countries, thanks to our range of foliar products and root development stimulator that have made it possible for us to better penetrate this market.
