An interview with Serge Fabre

1/ Serge Fabre, what’s your career path with Frayssinet ?

From 1986 to 1996 I was successively appointed to all the production posts : namely packaging, preparation, pelletization, and loading. This allowed me to get familiar with all the manufacturing line of the company and acquire all the necessary experience that I can use today in my position of Production Manager. My role is managing the workforce, the planning, the manufacturing, loading and storage.

2/ What interesting motives/motivation have you found in working with this company ?

This is an enterprise with an edge, that has known how to innovate with time, either at the management level or at the equipment and technological level. Besides, working with a team of motivated and efficient assistants, employees, executives, up to management is quite an energizing factor. Everyone’s working in the same direction to fulfil our objective of customer satisfaction.

3/ What have been the great moments throughout your 25 year career with Groupe Frayssinet ?

The relocation of the pallet packaging site which made it possible to double or even treble our productiveness and the opportunity to stock around 9000 tonnes of finished products around this new packaging center. TheISO certification which allowed to assert our reputation and helped us structure and organise the company. You can guess that having seen and known a lot about the company’s evolution, I have only mentioned 2 remarkable events but there were so many others that selecting a few was not that easy.

4/ What are the strengths of Groupe Frayssinet ?

- Manufacturing effective and high quality products which meet our different customers’ expectations and allow us to be number one nationally, and even in Europe.
- A very efficient maintenance & repair department within Groupe Frayssinet which is ready to intervene any time to help repair power, mechanical, hydraulic failures, etc …
- A productivity of 500 tonnes a day.
- A capacity to load 1000 tonnes a day.
- Having new or well-maintained equipment.
- A reliable traceability.
But here again, the list could be longer when I only mentioned what was most telling to me.

5/ How do you see Phalippou Frayssinet in ten years from now ?

I believe we have reached the end of a cycle as regards fertilization. In the years to come, we’ll have to be able to adjust to new markets and make not only solid but also liquid fertilizers in bigger quantity. The company will have to be moving forward as it’s been able to do ever since its beginning, and remain attentive to the customer in order to endure. To conclude, I believe in Groupe Frayssinet and its general management that will be able to make the good decisions for the Groupe to remain a fair, peaceful, loyal, competitive, dynamic and reliable enterprise.
