Years follow one another but don’t look alike. During the 2007-2008 season on our market, manufactures were running in full swing so much that they couldn’t totally meet the customer’s demand on quantities and delivery delays. Fortified by this quite elating – though hard to manage – experience, manufacturers and traders have been keeping important stocks for the 2008-2009 season. But the supply and demand is as unpredictable as the rebound of a rugby ball, the bank collapse, the Asian crisis and the general crisis in agriculture put together, everything resulted into an inversion in the trend. Who could have foreseen it ?

The Doom Prophets may occasionally be right, but it’s rather the markets and men’s variability that happen to be the unpredictable cause, or a case of absolute necessity that can sometimes strike blows at a trade.

Some suppliers have speculated, some breaches are unethical and shall not be forgotten by us all.

French fertilizers manufacturers we belong to, have borne this state of facts. The UPSTREAM and DOWNSTREAM concept is a key rule of modern business for being so economically interlinked and interdependent.

We have done everything possible to keep our costs under control always taking into account that the consumer stands at the other end of the line, that before him is the food marketer and before are the producers.
In the middle of this gearing machinery we have nurtured an « ethical » attitude. Let’s work in the expectancy of better days and let’s try to keep ahead of the fundamental trends of the trade.
