The environmental approach

www.authentis.fr

Groupe Frayssinet, an ethical approach, a will power.

A premiere on the market …With the Authentis environmental approach, Groupe Frayssinet formalizes an authentic agreement of trust with the people who have chosen the road to environmental respect. This is a concept in which the notions of sustainable environment, healthy food, are conceived to meet the requirements of top quality economic production so as to satisfy any consumer-citizen.

Like a boomerang

Just like all the economic sectors, the development in agriculture has benefited from dazzling progress in research. Chemistry, genetics, mechanization have transformed the running of farms which are today closer to industrial rigour than yesterday’s farmers logic. At the end of the war, farmers responded very well to the mission they were entrusted with; it was then necessary to feed the country and join quickly the momentum of modernity that propelled us towards the 21st century. New questions have cropped up today. On the one hand, a lot of studies and statements from experts have measured the impact upon the weather evolution of our economic activities that have affected our environment; they also have emphasized the very close relationship between our food quality and the development of serious pathologies.

An alarming report acknowledged by everyone !

The scientific body IPCC – Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change – is unanimous. The environmental mutations generated by the effects of our economic development have inflicted deep perturbations to the balance of vegetal and animal productions i.e. deregulated crop cycles, harmed the perpetuity of crop areas, caused diffuse pollution of our natural habitat (aquifers and soils) as many disfunctions assessed today, even if predicting exactly the impact they will have on our planet’s future and on human health (flux and accumulation of polluters with time) seems impossible. In this uncertain and hazardous context, our agriculture won’t be able to escape the need of radical change in production methods focussed on the reduction and even the elimination of products of synthesis. *IPCC – a body of Intergovernmental Experts on Climate Change, created in 1988 on the G7 request by the WMO – the World Meteorological Organisation – and the United Nations Development Program (UNEP), Nobel awarded for Peace in 2007. The assessment reports of the IPCC provided the input of the framework charter on climate change and the origin of negotiations of the Kyoto Protocol.

Healthy food

The health-food relationship offers new prospects and weighs heavier everyday upon the consumer’s inner conviction : respect for the environment, gustative and sanitary quality are being labelled as priorities. If he often ignores the constraints on production the consumer voices his mistrust of the conditions in which the same goods are produced. The different approaches to patenting which naturally will reassure the citizen and even guide his choices are also taken into account. This widely shared assessment must urge us to develop an upward strategy making our partners a trustworthy offer which will meet their expectations.

Food Quality

Dr Kousmine*’s works (1987), especially on the immune system reinforcement are the forerunners of the great impulse in the medical world, highlighting the prime role of food quality in human health. Acknowledged today, the beneficial virtues of foods are being labelled, either to certify their vitamin content, their rate of polyunsaturated fatty acids ( omega 3, omega 6 ) or their natural origin. No doubt food diversity and especially food quality are as many assets to the development of farm goods production channels. Consequently, such a hard to please demand imposes reassuring cultivation techniques and the use of natural organic fertilizers that will make it possible to meet these objectives of crop good quality and of respect for the environment.
*Dr Catherine Kousmine ( 1904-1992 ) who was trained as a pediatrician, worked on the influence of nutrition, the foundation of orthomolecular medicine, on certain serious pathologies like reticulosarcoma and multiplesclerosis ) and published three reference books. She initiated the Kousmine International Medical Association (AMKI)

Men’s intelligence to the service of soil and plants

European leader of soil organic fertilization and natural stimulation of plants, Groupe Frayssinet has long been working to find the efficient answers that make it possible to improve vegetable production in respect for the environment. Strong with the knowledge of its engineers, in constant collaboration with scientific bodies, CIRAD, IRD INRA, Montpellier University, the company has been innovating continuously in the field of research and production. Groupe Frayssinet wishes to formalize a real trust agreement with those who will choose the road/path to the respect for the environment. The AUTHENTIS charter has proposed a concept and developed a program based on years of research in the fields of organic fertilization, pedology, rhizogenesis or even foliar treatments. The notion of sustainable development is clearly expressed through these propositions that can naturally meet the requirements of a quality economic production and consequently satisfy the consumer-citizen’s demands.
